Christ Focused, Balanced, Abundant Living

Have you heard the story of the woman who was homeless and living on
the streets of New York City until someone discovered she was the heir of
great wealth? What about the story of the man who spent his life’s
savings to travel to America on a cruise ship – eating only crackers
because he had no money for food, only to learn that all the fine cuisine
was included in the price of the cruise.

All Christians are children of the most high God. Yet, how often have we
lived like paupers even though our Heavenly Father has vast storehouses
filled with blessings he desires to shower upon us – if we would only ask?
And the greatest of all God’s blessings is intimacy with him. When we
spend time in his presence we are changed into his likeness and filled to
overflowing with his Holy Spirit. Although the disciples were common
men, they were transformed by being in Christ’s presence, and others
could tell that they had been with Jesus.

What is pulling your focus away from Christ? Is your life out of balance
because you are trying to do something God isn’t asking you to do, or
have your priorities become disordered? Are you believing God’s promise
to accomplish infinitely more in your life than you would ever dare ask –
and trusting him to do great things while you rest in him? (Eph 3:20 & Matt
11:28-30)

Are you spending enough time with the Lord? Is it apparent that you have
been with Jesus? Are you reflecting his glory by living a Christ-focused,
balanced life of abundance?
