Complete Saturation

Saturation is defined as: reaching a maximum capacity, or the point of maximum concentration – a saturation point.

What if we truly open our hearts fully to God?  The Holy Spirit promises to fill us to overflowing when we give ourselves to God without reservation as we place our trust in Jesus Christ.  If we will surrender to Him and allow the Word of God to indwell us richly, a spring of living water will well up within us unto eternal life and will flow freely from within our hearts to all those whom we love.

Have you ever considered what it would take for you to stop filling yourself with the things of this world?  Have you ever thought about what God might do with a heart fully saturated with Him?

Image what would happen if you made it your mission to immerse yourself in the Word of God and to truly live for Jesus?

Can your mind comprehend what God could do with a handful of Christ-followers who are filled with Him?  Are you willing to give yourself more fully to Jesus – for one day – for one week – for a month or two – a year?  How about for the rest of your life on this earth?

Close your eyes, and if you are willing, let yourself fall into the arms of your loving Father.  As you rest and recharge in Him, see if for this one brief moment you can allow yourself to experience something you may have never felt before – complete saturation in the love of Christ.  Rest in His pure love and grace.

Although it’s a foreign thought for us humans to inhale water, we can be like a frog who has exhaled every last bubble of air, trusting our gills as we inhale the Living Water.  Allow your spiritual lungs to transition into chambers of divine transformation – as a fresh Spring feeds your soul with the life-giving water of Christ’s love.  As He floods our hearts with love, with peace, with grace, with joy, with power, this Living Water will flow from us into the lives we touch.

Fully relying on God, inviting the Spirit to saturate your soul, watch and see what happens.  Our part is small – to believe and to boldly entrust ourselves into God’s strong hands.  He will use us, He has promised.  He will lead us, He has told us.  He will fill us, His Spirit confirms this.

I am praying that the River of life will flow powerfully through you and me into the lives of those we love.  I want to become an open channel for the mighty love of God.  I will not be satisfied until my world is saturated with the love of Christ.  Come Lord Jesus, fill my heart and my life.  Overflow from my heart into my corner of the world.  Wash away the darkness, and cover the earth with your gracious love.  I am waiting on the Lord and I am praying for us all – for an outpouring of God’s Spirit like the world has never seen before!  Complete saturation!

  1. Bill, your writing transcends labels like “blog” or “reflection” or “E-newsletter.” Thank you for being a channel through which the Holy Spirit flows. I went from “reading” the text in front of me to praying to the One true God for more of His love to flow in my life. Thank you for leading us all to greater measures of surrender and worship!

    • Thank you Perry for your kind words. My prayer is that everything I write leads us to a closer walk with Jesus. It doesn’t get any better than knowing Him!
